Global fashion brand — sustainability / HRDD team
Challenge
Supplier codes, audits, and policies were in place, but human rights risk stayed locked in an annual compliance cycle. Purchasing and HRDD rarely met, so findings did not reliably shape buying decisions.
What we did
Mapped existing policies, audit outputs, portal fields, and risk registers — without introducing a new platform. Built a risk-prioritisation matrix and decision gates into buying workflows, converted one-off audits into a continuous HREDD action loop, and trained sustainability and buying teams to run it together.
Outcomes
- Priority risks ranked with named owners
- Clearer link between purchasing and responsible sourcing
- Stronger internal ownership of HREDD actions
- Improved readiness for management reporting
Food & beverage — responsible sourcing
Challenge
Activity logs showed effort, not worker outcomes. The team needed a Theory of Change and a lean metrics set that would fit current programmes — without rebuilding the ESG stack.
What we did
Started from current programmes and data. Co-developed a Theory of Change and a lean outcome framework, defined monitoring indicators that plug into existing systems, and ran workshops so commercial and sustainability teams shared the same language for success.
Outcomes
- Shift from activity tracking toward outcome focus
- Shared language for what success looks like
- A measurement plan the team can maintain
- Stronger evidence for leadership conversations
FMCG — capacity & systems
Challenge
A small team was stuck in reactive work. Maturity varied across the programme, and they needed prioritisation and capacity — without discarding what already worked.
What we did
Ran a maturity and gap assessment, applied risk-based prioritisation, and added practical overlays on current processes. Training and coaching prepared the team to run independently after handover, with an optional light-touch support path if needed later.
Outcomes
- Clear map of what to focus on first
- Higher team confidence to run the work
- Documented assumptions and limitations
- Optional light-touch support path after handover
